How long Kranth keeps your data depends on what it is. This policy explains each category below.
#Simulation & debate data
Your simulation inputs, persona reactions, verdicts, debate transcripts, and any opt-in archive are retained until you delete them. There's no automatic time-based purge. Delete an individual sim or debate any time from the dashboard, or export or delete everything at once from Settings → Your data (a complete machine-readable copy under GDPR Article 20), or via GET /v1/orgs/{id}/export.
#Interview voice
We do not record your voice. In a voice interview your microphone is streamed live to Cartesia for transcription and is not written to disk by us at any point. There is no recording to retain, delete or subpoena, because one is never made.
What is retained is the transcript of what you said, alongside the panel's questions and the evasion score for each answer. That is interview data and follows the same rule as simulation and debate data above: kept until you delete it, exportable at any time.
The panel's own synthesized audio (the questions, not your answers) is stored on R2 so a session can be replayed, and is deleted with the interview.
#Account & workspace data
- While your account is active: retained so the product works: profile, workspace settings, API key metadata, team membership.
- After deletion: when you delete your account or workspace, the records are removed immediately from the primary database (cascading deletes) and fall out of backups within 7 days under the default rotation. See the account-deletion flow in the Privacy Policy.
#Operational data
| Data | Retention |
|---|---|
| Audit log | Life of the workspace (so you can review actions); on workspace deletion, entries are de-identified (account references removed) and retained as anonymous system records |
| Credit ledger | Life of the workspace; retained for billing integrity and tax records where required by law |
| Hashed IP addresses | Salted hash only, used for rate-limit and waitlist dedupe; raw IPs are never stored, hashes age out with the rolling window |
| Access logs (Nginx) | 15 days |
| Structured app logs (journalctl) | 30 days |
| Backups | Daily snapshots to object storage (provider-side encryption at rest), 7-day rotation. Deleted data is gone from backups within 7 days |
#Training data
If, and only if, both your organisation's and the individual sim's training_opt_in flags are true, reaction data may be retained in the training corpus beyond the windows above. You can opt out at any time; opting out stops future capture and removes opted-in records on the next purge cycle. Enterprise plans contractually never contribute training data. See the AI training data section of the Privacy Policy.
#Legal holds
If we're legally required to preserve data (subpoena, litigation hold, regulatory request), we retain the specific records under hold until the obligation ends, even past the windows above. This is the only exception, and it's scoped to exactly what's required.
