#The 30-day rule
We refund unused credits within 30 days. Credits you've already spent running sims, debates, recons, interviews, or improvements aren't refundable. That's live model compute we paid for the moment you ran it. Email [email protected] with the account email and "refund request" in the subject within 30 days of charge; we process within 5 business days.
- We don't ask why. If you tell us, it helps us improve.
- Applies to:
- Monthly + annual subscriptions (unused portion)
- Top-up credit packs: the unused balance
- Reactivations after a prior cancellation
- Returns to the original payment method via Stripe, and we always show you the math.
- Runs that fail or get canceled refund their credits automatically. You never pay for compute that didn't run.
- Interviews charge for the session length you book, up front. Ending a session early doesn't refund the remainder; the panel and its line of questioning are built against the length you chose. A session that fails on our side refunds in full, however far in you got. You don't pay for our provider's outage. Walking away mid-session isn't a failure: we still write the verdict on what you did answer, and that isn't refunded.
#Free tier
Nothing to refund: Free tier doesn't charge.
#When we may refuse
- The account has been suspended for AUP violations (CSAM, harassment, election interference, etc.). Suspension → no refund. See the Acceptable Use Policy.
- Repeated refund-then-reactivate cycles (chargeback adjacent). We honor the first; the second triggers a manual review.
- Where the law specifies otherwise (some EU consumer protection regimes give stronger refund rights, and those override anything here).
#Chargebacks
If you dispute a Stripe charge instead of emailing us:
- The refund still works. We don't fight chargebacks for normal customers.
- Account stays open during the dispute.
- We retain the right to flag the account if the dispute reads as fraudulent (e.g., chargeback after months of heavy usage). A flagged account loses the auto-refund door for future renewals; you'd need to email us first.
#EU consumers
If you're an EU consumer (using the service for non-business purposes), you have a 14-day "cooling off" period under the Consumer Rights Directive. That 14-day period is INCLUDED in our 30-day window, not in addition to it. We give you the longer one.
You can withdraw via:
- An email to
[email protected]with "I am withdrawing from my contract" and the account email, OR - Cancelling your subscription in
/app/billingand then emailing us for the refund.
Under the Directive, you waive the right to withdraw for digital services you've already consumed once you start running paid sims, debates, recons, or improvements. Your unused credit balance stays refundable for the full 30 days.
#Annual plans
- Refund within 30 days: full pro-rata of unused months.
- Refund between 30 days and end-of-term: at our discretion. Email us.
- We don't typically refund mid-year for annual plans, but for genuinely-can't-use-it cases we'll work it out.
#Disputes
If we and you can't agree on a refund, the dispute-resolution clause in the Terms applies.
The shorter version: anything you haven't spent, we refund within 30 days, no survey and no friction. What you've already run cost us real compute, so that part isn't refundable.
